can you put a judge in judges seat at the end of your turn? then are they targeted by wrath of Satan if in there.
-
You can only put someone in Judge's Seat (http://redemption.wikia.com/wiki/Judge%E2%80%99s_Seat_%28RA%29) during Prep Phase. You can only move characters in and out during Prep Phase unless the card specifies otherwise.
There is no protection for the judge there at all, and the fortress is in territory, so Wrath discards them.
-
but Boat doesnt specify, and you can move disciples in and out at the end of turn.

No, you cannot. Anyone who plays it that way is doing it wrong, unfortunately. From the definition of Hold in the REG:
If a Fortress with a hold ability does not describe how cards are both added and removed then you may add or remove cards during your preparation phase.
-
Mr.Underwood does it that way. That's how he taught me to use fishing boat when I played Disciples.
-
So that's how Mark wins all his tournaments....
-
lol. No, He doesnt usually use it.

There are a lot of things you can do with Fishing Boat. For example, putting everyone but one into it, then playing something like Pentecost, then bringing them all back to maximize what you want to do. But one thing you can't do is load/unload said both during the discard phase ;)

Woah, hold on here pal :)
I agree with the ruling in this thread. If a fortress doesn't say how to move things in and out, then you can only do it during Prep phase. I've never actually played a deck containing Fishing Boat in a tournament, and I may have not noticed you putting heroes there in the wrong phase. I apologize for the confusion, but Redoubter is right :)

ok. thanks.
*muttering* Now I feel like a dope* :-[

Don't feel badly. I should've paid better attention, and not let you get confused. And actually overall you have a really great grasp of the rules of this game. I've noticed you helping answer a bunch of ruling questions by people lately, and you're doing a good job. Keep it up :)

What's really fun is when they do that, on your turn, you use Darius' Decree :)

That is actually why the Fishing Boat manipulation is so good, because you can limit your set-aside exposure and only have 1 hero out there while still getting Pentecost off. And of course, you can always respond with The New Covenant ;)

hush you no giving him any ideas.

to late.

can you put someone in at the beginning of your turn (before you put stuff down) and use the judges seat then? I'm always confused with upkeep and stuff.

No. Upkeep happens before prep phase. Which means that you have to put someone in and then it doesn't activate until the beginning of your next turn.

A fun strategy that I enjoyed with my old Judges/sitelock deck is to place lacking sleep (http://redemption.wikia.com/wiki/Lacking_Sleep_%28Ap%29) onto one of your 4/4 judges, place them into judges seat, and in three upkeep phases, you have a 1/1 judge that can take out almost every EC there is :).

So just for my own edification, you can draw, put 7 of your 8 disciples in Boat, play pentecost, bring one disciple back, play Sabbath, then bring the rest back all in one Prep phase?
If so could you put a disciple in there, get confused and pull him back out, then remember what you were trying to do and put him back in?
