Title: John The Baptist
Post by: Raybo Snyder on November 22, 2010, 11:39:33 PM
I just wanted to check my reading of the new John the Baptist his negating the O.T. Fortresses means that Obadiah's Caves would not help him and it wouldn't be a good idea to put them in the same deck?

You are reading it correctly. John the Baptist would negate Obadiah's Caves.

Uh, oh. What a bummer.  :( That should be errata'd as evil Fortresses.

Nope, during playtesting John was designed to take out his Caves protection. I can't remember exactly why we wanted it that way, but it was set-up.

Right. The two Biblical Prophets who are most famous for being imprisoned should be able to be captured.

Coax your opponent into using Confusion of Mind, or add Holy of Holies to your deck.

Tis a nice trick for John, but Jerry cannot be negated  :P

Anna can always protect them from capture and conversion.  :) I think there isn't another card that protects them from removal from the game besides City of Refuge.
