Title: Joabs banding
Post by: I am Knot a Blonde! on September 01, 2011, 03:33:11 PM
My first complaint: Joab was an israelite General, yet he is not warrior class -_- 2. Is it true that you can band him to anybody that was mentioned in 1 and 2 samuel, not necisarrily just people with that reference in the game? :O

1. This was before warrior class, I know it stinks.

2. Yes. I believe Jepthah is one, so is Abishai, not sure about others.

Just be glad that he's a hero; a lot of people think he shouldn't be. He would have been made Warrior Class if he had been made after they were introduced.

I think there used to be a list of Heroes that he could band to in the REG, but it seems to no longer be there. I think Caleb is another one he can band to.

Just read through 1 and 2 Samuel and write down every name you find, then you will have a list.

I was gonna say he could even band to a converted Goliath promo, but then I remembered G's actually from I Sammuel. ;)

He can band to a converted Goliath (then have his banding promptly negated) because he was mentioned in 1 Samuel (regardless of his card's reference)

Joab may band to any red brigade Hero mentioned in I and II Samuel

This has been ruled to mean I OR II Samuel.  The hero only needed to be mentioned in one of those books, not both.

Oh right, I was responding to this:

Which was incorrect because both 1 and 2 Sammuel is fair game for banding.

Not true. There were no characters mentioned in I or II Sammuel. However, since Goliath was mentioned in I Samuel, despite not having a reference from I Samuel, as ChristianSoldier pointed out, Joab could band to him.

You are making a joke about my spelling of Samuel, yes? I was imitating the post I quoted. =P But since in bold above you said the same thing twice, I feel like you will be willing to forgive me.   ;)

It's not a joke. Take a look at the reference on the Goliath Promo.

Oh gotcha. Wait how does that make my statement incorrect?
