Title: Jacob card banding question
Post by: redemption collector 777 on May 01, 2014, 09:57:30 PM
What if hero Jacob starts a RA (SA :may band to a silver brigade hero) bands to The Strong Angel (Warriors) SA: negate all SA on characters and enhancements except this one.

1.Would Jacob get kicked out of battle?

Nope. Strong Angel would kick himself out of battle. Jacob would stay. However, you still would be battling by the numbers, because SA wasn't negated, he was just kicked out.

Jacob would not get kicked out, he was the one who started battle.  TSA (The Strong Angel) would get kicked out, because the band was negated, and that was how he entered battle.  You negate the band, and the banded characters are bounced out.

However, TSA's negate would still be active, as no card can indirectly negate itself, such as by negating the band in this case.

Hope that makes sense.

I agree above.

Jacob's ability would be negated by TSA, so TSA would not be in the battle, however, TSA's special ability still activated, so he would still negate all SA on characters and enhancements except this one.
Jacob would stay in battle.

Just going to clarify here that the reason TSA is still active is NOT because he still activated, but because he cannot indirectly negate himself.

If something else (like an evil character) negated the band, it WOULD negate TSA, because negating the band negates anything that happened because of the band (cascade negate).

So there is a difference, and it is important.

Yep, and that's why I band Captain of the Host into battle over TSA. (Cap doesn't negate Banding)
