My opponent attacks. I block. My opponent plays a banding enhancement to bring a bunch more heroes in. I play Joseph in Prison. Since JiP interrupts the battle, and thus the last enhancement played in battle by my opponent, would I remove myself and all the new heroes, or just myself and the original hero? What if one of the heroes brought in was causing my removal? (For example Caleb is brought in and tries to remove my Goliath).
Joseph in Prison
Type: Evil Enh. • Brigade: Black • Ability: None • Class: None • Special Ability: Interrupt the battle and remove all cards in battle from the game.
Caleb
Type: Hero Char. • Brigade: Red • Ability: 10 / 7 • Class: Warrior • Special Ability: Remove an evil giant from the game. You may use opponent’s unoccupied Site for access. May band to Men of Judah.

You interrupt the enhancement so the heroes that were banded in aren't removed. Also, since the banding was negated your goliath would stay.
-
Goliath would also go, since JiP removes all cards in battle from the game.
-
Oh I thought he meant if Goliath was in territory and was being removed... yeah if you blocked WITH goliath he's gone. :)
-
JiP Would remove all the heroes that are banded in too.

No it would not. JiP interrupts the battle, which interrupts the last enhancement played (if by your opponent). Since the banded heroes were from that last enhancement, the interrupt would send the banded heroes back to territory.

I forgot about the banding enhancements. I thought Caleb was doing the banding....that is what I get for posting kinda late... :P

‘Interrupt the battle’ interrupts all active ongoing abilities on characters and enhancements (e.g. Red Dragon), abilities that are causing you to lose the battle by removal (e.g. King Zimri), as well as the last enhancement played in the current battle if it was played by your opponent.
I think it would be safe to say that you would lose only the original hero if the banding was caused by an enhancement. If it was caused by the S.A. on the hero(i.e. banding chains) then you would lose all Heroes, as banding is not an ongoing ability nor is it the direct cause of you losing the battle.

I believe the best time to use JIP is when you have one black evil character in territory and your opponent bands all of their TGT characters together. You use Philly Outpost and then remove all of their characters! ;D
