Ethiopian Treasurer:Search own D.P.or D.P for one Bible icon with no S.A. Holder may play next Enhancement...I play Athority of Christ Promo...is this a battle winner
-
It would be unless the evil character in battle is ignoring your hero or immune to your hero.
-
Hmm, what do you mean?
Firstly, ET can't search for AOCP; you have to have it in your hand already
If you mean playing it before they block
It could win a battle if you play it and it kills all of your opponent's evil characters, so they can't block.
It may not work if they have a protection fort and not all of their evil characters die
It may not work if they have some evil characters in their hand they can block with
It may not work if they have some other forms of stopping you, such as Burial, Unholy Writ, Christian Martyr, etc.
If you mean after they block
It could win the battle.
It may not if they can negate it (assuming it isn't the promo)
It may not if they have other forms of stopping you (see above)
It may not if it doesn't effect them (ignore or immune)
It may not if they have Unknown Nation active.

well, yes and no.
It is a battle winner if
A.) they do not have a protection fort (Headquarters of Riblah, House of Rimmon, High Priest Palace..etc.)
B.) they dont have a Character on "the Darkness"
C.) They dont have an EC in thier hand to block with.
D.) they dont have the color guard LS in a Purple Site.
E.) A black warrior class EC does not have on Goliaths Armor as a weapon class enhancement
If these arent present, then yes, you have nuked their backcourt and they cannot do anything about it.
but as you can see, there are quite a few if's in there and there are probably a few I have forgotten.

The short version is that if you start a battle with ET, play AoC right away, kill all their guys in territory, and they have no other way to block, yes, you just won the battle by virtue of making your rescue unblockable.
-
What if they did have a E.C. in hand but no ignore or imunity.... When they block wouldn"t they be discarded when they enter battle.
-
Cards with instant abilities like Authority of Christ happen immediately when they enter play, not after. When the Evil Character enters battle after AoC is played, AoC has finished, it's been resolved, it's done its discarding. The new EC is safe from its wrath... for now.
