Title: Is there a limit on Forts active?

Correct--and that only applies to the "Good" temples. (You can have Solomon's Temple and Temple of Dagon, but you can't have Solomon's Temple and Herod's Temple).

Probably moreso for Redemption purposes than "in actuality" purposes. :P

Maybe so you can't have 3 artifacts up?
