I don't believe Denarius is considered an idol, no. Four-Drachma Coin probably isn't either.

It depends on whether or not the person who owns the card worships Roman money.  :P

It's only idle if you don't have it invested.

They're triplets and they wanted their own accounts, is that so wrong? Lay off them, please.

I can vouch for them, they're in the Hartland, WI playgroup that Ken and I host.

Triplets?!?  All three play the game??  Wow!  What would be uber cool is if they took 1st, 2nd and 3rd in a single tournament event at Nats.   :)

Then you better watch out if you're planning on coming to Nationals this year - the plan is for most of our playgroup to be there! ;D

From the perspective of a first century Jew the money with a graven image on it would have been an idol. I mean Jesus even warns that the love of money can draw our eyes away from the true God which is basically the definition of an idol. I don't see why it couldn't be considered an idol, but I all kinds of reasons why it shouldn't be considered an idol. FWIW.

Being that "idol" is a pretty loose term that can apply to just about anything, I think it should just apply to gods being worshipped.

There doesn't appear to be a list in the REG for what is considered an idol.  Can we get one?

Denarius is an idle.

Sweet...taking that to my playgroup! Thanks Schaef...

I'm pretty sure he was joking.

Well for those of us who are not in the know that you knew that he knew that you knew that he knew that you knew that he was joking, it looked like you were taking it serious  :P.  Maybe I just to need to chat with you all more often just so I can pick up on the nuances of your dialog.

Speaking of Idols, are there ANY N.T. Idols? I can't think of any, and I didn't see any in the reg..

There had better be some, or Simon the Zealot looses some of his usefulness...

Well, I guess that kind of makes sense with all the disciples banding..but that's one, are there any others? Why doesn't he just negate and discard that..?

After a quick review of the REG, it looks to be that Household Idols is the only one...

It makes him more useful based on development in future sets.

Once we started printing some of the NT Church cards along with the "evil" cards, (think all the cities that Paul and others preached to, and the gods they worshipped), there will be many more NT Idols.

At the start of play-testing for disciples he only discarded Household Idols, about halfway through in an effort to conserve space in the special ability, as well as make him slightly more powerful after more N.T. Idols come out, we switched it.
