Post by: LordZardeck on March 17, 2012, 02:39:55 AM
I'm ignoring all orange. my opponent uses an orange card to band in a brown ec. i use forest fire to d/c him. does my opponent have to interrupt the battle to save his ec, or can he simply negate my he with stiff-necked?

Glossary > Negate (http://www.redemptionreg.com/REG/Master/gloss_negate1.htm)
Negate is the same as ‘interrupt and prevent’ combined.

Stiff-Necked itself does the interrupt.

Was it a hero INTIALLY presented in battle challenge that 'ignored' or was it an enhancement?  If it is a hero then orange brigade cannot even be presented in battle to block because the brigade is already ignored.

Enhancement afterwards. He actually started with a brown, and banded in some orange. I played kindness to ignore his orange then AotL'd his brown ec. He then played an orange ee to band in another brown.

As stated by sk, Stiff-Necked is the interrupt card, since that is how Negate is defined.

If you are ignoring orange, then it is like you are only fighting the brown EC.  Therefore if you discard him, then he would have special initiative to play Stiff-Necked to negate your GE that is discarding him.
