can interrupts interrupt gates of samaria's ability off of Omri?
4110 11GatesOfSamaria.jpg Gate of Samaria - II Kings 7:1 Multi F Protect evil Kings of Israel in your territory from opponents. When you play a Samaria Site, increase your evil King of Israel 6/6 to decrease a character 6/6. N

edit: just putting some abilities

I don't see any reason why they couldn't. Neither ability states that it cannot be interrupted or negated, and baring any other card in play granting them that ability an interrupt should do what it normally does.

Another point/question. I'm pretty sure that you have to interrupt GoS if Omri is used. You can't use special initiative against Omri himself because he is not the one doing the discarding. Am I correct?

Yes.
Essentially, if Omri activates Gates, that is the card causing removal, and you must target that card. If your card does not interrupt or negate that ability, it cannot be used, so something that only hits Omri wouldn't work.
EDIT: Just wanted to clarify that if you negated Omri outside of special initiative (let's say more than one hero was in battle, and you played a negate with the one remaining), then everything would cascade and indirectly negate Gates. If Omri is negated, no Samaria is put into play, Gates is not triggered, and the decrease does not occur. It is only in special initiative that Gates must be targeted to stop the effect, you can still cascade it outside of special initiative.

Yep that's how I always interpreted it.

Back to this question: depends on the interrupt. I don't think "Interrupt the battle" can, because GoS isn't in battle, but a "Negate an evil card" would.

That makes sense. I was thinking of ITB's ability to interrupt Charms, but Charms does need to be in battle for that so I guess there is a difference.
