Title: Interrupt Character Abilities
Post by: Captain Kirk on July 30, 2013, 01:42:59 PM
This came up at regional this past weekend. I was told by a couple players that "interrupt the battle" could not target character abilities (the particular example was Herod the Great returning a banded white Garden girl and the player wanted to play Words of E).

However, the REG states:

Quote
 The phrase “interrupt the battle” includes interrupting the following:
o all active ongoing abilities
o abilities that are defeating one of the characters you control in battle o the last card played in current battle if it was played by your opponent.

I believe the EC would qualify as "the last card played" and therefore interrupt the battle would stop the EC's ability. Is that correct?

So Valley of Salt played off of TToD would be able to stop Uzzah?
