ok provisions choose the blocker with a prophet with a special ability with hidden treasures activate?
-
1. Hero's special ability completes (Prophet)
2. Triggered ability completes (HT & enhancement)
3. Gained choose-the-blocker ability completes (Provisions)

Unless there's been a rule change that I missed, that's not quite correct.
1. Hero abilities complete
2. Provisions completes
3. Abilities triggered by the Hero entering battle completes (Hidden Treasures)

I agree with gabe once again. :o
-
I'm pretty sure CTB abilities are always last...
-
You don't have to take my word for it. :)
Choose the blocker happens last. Hidden Treasures is a response, though, so it happens AFTER you've already selected the blocker. So, you had to first choose a legal blocker.
Hidden Treasures cannot insert itself between the abilities on the Hero. The process of "beginning a battle" includes resolving all special abilities - even gained abilities, like Provisions - so Hidden Treasures doesn't allow the playing of an enhancement until a blocker is presented.

looks like I am now agreeing with a number of people :-*

Ahhhh, Reading Rainbow will be missed :(

Huh, I thought all CTB abilities on all cards were delayed until all other triggers and abilities were completed. After a search, it looks like I reversed steps 7 & 8...
1. Hero leaves hand or territory
2. Hero enters Field of Battle
3. Activate special ability on Hero
4. Activate gained abilities
5. Activate weapon-class abilities
6. Activate banding abilities
7. Activate choose the blocker abilities
8. Activate special abilities triggered by the beginning of battle
9. Declare intent of battle
Apologies...

It's all good, for years we've been hearing the "CTB last" mantra.

I used to watch that show before school all the time when I was a kid (when they had the kids come on at the end describing the books, I would run into my room, get dress, and get back before they were done :))

HT requires a lone prophet...
-
HT requires a lone prophet...
no, once they start the battle...

No.....
Once per turn, if your lone green brigade prophet begins a battle, you may play an Enhancement or discard an Evil Enhancement in an opponent's deck.
My question is: what does the lone mean? Must your prophet be the only hero in battle, or must he only be the only prophet in battle? Lone could mean both... I think it's only hero in battle, but I"m not sure.
-
The band happens in Step #3. At that point, it is no longer a lone prophet in battle, but a prophet and a priest. When HT was released, it was ruled that "lone" requires that no band at all happens before HT checks (I think the scenario had a Gathered prophet band to ET or something).
-
What if you gathered a prophet, then banded him to Ahimaaz, looked at your opponent's hand and had Ahimaaz run away? Lone prophet beginning a battle or not as far as HT is concerned?
Does it matter if the second card is turned up or if it is a Tuesday?
