Title: Immunity
Post by: robm on July 18, 2009, 04:54:30 PM
1/1 Teal hero enters battle.

Opponent blocks with a brown hero,

I play an enhancment to become immune to brown brigade.

Can my opponent negate and discard my last good enhancement and cause me to lose my immunity to him??

Yes.

Assuming the brown character is really an evil character, not a hero, then yes.  A negate isn't harming the hero, just stopping the ability giving them immunity.

So they can negate as long as the card they play does not effect my hero.  Then having lost my immunity then can play a card that returns me to hand or draw pile??

And to answer my self yes. So I really just lost the game I played a few minutes ago.

Yes, they can.

Just to be clear, they can play a card that also harms your character, it just won't harm you until the immunity is gone.  Also, if they played something like Korah's Rebellion, they can harm you, as your immunity has been interrupted.

But if they did not play a negate card to negate my immunity then how can they remove me from the game with a card like Korah's Rebellion??

They interrupt the immunity, putting the immunity on hold while the rest of the ability completes.  The removal from the game gets rid of the hero before the immunity comes back into play.

Same thing with, say, Lois v PotW.  Lois can play Reach to interrupt PotW's ability, then play AoCp to discard him, as the immunity hasn't come back yet after being interrupted by Reach.

Korahs rebellion says interupt the battle and remove all cards in battle from the game.  Immunity is an ongoing ability that can be interupted and/or negated.
