Title: Im having a stupid moment and need help w/ gideon

So Auto- to - Gideon exchange and he blocks with Assyrian Archer. Plays confusion and then loses e battle to then give me the fool LS. 
He is still protected correct?

Okay I dunno what just happened in my head then. Hahaha
