"Ignore", "Cannot be blocked by", "Repel", "X has no effect on" are all saying the same thing. The latter three terms were a result of less streamlined wording and abilities.
So putting the appropriate EE on Golgotha would allow your NT Royalty to block King David.

Not when I've hit you with Benedictus! Take that, Herods!

Says the guy who uses Herods... :D

Say good bye to emperors, herods, brown kings, KoT, some assyrians, some egyptians, some bablonians and some other dudes. Awesome.
-
lol oops, King David made one very costly mistake. Being OT! And not protected from Capture! AHAHAHAHAHA
-
Oh shoot herod's dungeon and writ. Noooooooooooooooooooooo
-
Writ works, but Dungeon only works when you block with a Herod, so you'd have to have already gotten around the ignore in order to use it in which case you don't have any problems anyway.

KoT is a king, but not royalty.

Actually, I'm pretty sure he's Royalty - He's just not a member of a royal family.

The REG has him as "king", but not royalty. (Though we all know how accurate that is.)

He is a King, Royalty (I don't think any cards target EC's by "Royalty," though), but not a member of a royal family.
