Title: If Lurking is used to band Red Dragon to battle are the banded immune to humans?

If Lurking is used to band Red Dragon to battle are the banded immune to humans?

And... if they are not, then if the numbers are greater, do the rest that are banded get discarded while Red Dragon remains?  Assuming immune isn't alike to repel.

Lurking ITBs and bands Red Dragon in.  He is then immune to humans.  The other EC isn't, but the band is winning by immunity.

I've always been confused on this, though: If your opponent's offense is higher than your defense, but one of your characters is immune, does that mean the other character will die but you still win? Immunity isn't used that much, so I can't remember the answer to this.

I believe in that scenario you would win by immunity, but your non-immune character(s) would be discarded.

Correct. Say you attacke with Mary (6/6). Your opponent blocks with Gomer banded to Red Dragon, to become 8/9. You then play Angel food to make Mary 9/9. Now, if the battle were to end here, Gomer would be discarded, since Mary's strength is equal to the combined toughness. However, Red is immune, so he wins the battle, and he and Mary return to their respective territories.

Oh, so for the non-immune guy to die the opponent has to have the combined toughness?!?  I always played it Mary is a 6/6 and Gomer is a 3/3, unless the evil enhancements combined with Gomer alone, Gomer is discarded.  In other words, Gomer banded to Red Dragon blocks Mary, If Mary plays Angel Food and becomes a 9/9 then you would have to at least get 7 more defense to save Gomer, but it really only takes 1 to keep here alive since Gomer + Red Dragon = 8/9.  Why do I play this game wrong?!?   ???

No idea. All of the rules are pretty simple and straightforward, and they never change, so why anyone would have trouble is beyond me... ;)

Yeah, maybe you're just dumb. ::)

Seriously though, this game does take a very long time to get used to the rules. It took me...actually, I'm still not quite used to them. :P
