Title: How to play Revolt (PC)?
Post by: emonier on April 10, 2018, 11:12:12 AM
Dear Gents,

I thought about putting this card in a deck, but not sure how to play it.

Revolt is an evil gold enhancement.

Revolt:  Interrupt the battle. Evil character may band to any number of non-Roman evil characters. Set aside all characters in battle until you begin a rescue attempt.

Q: Why would you band a bunch of EC's into the battle, only to have them all set aside?

Q: What happens when you do your next rescue (on your next turn?), does this earlier battle (that was set aside) resume?

This is a weird card, any help you can give would be great.

Thanks,

E

You band in your opponents ECs.  They all just get set-aside until you make a RA, then they would go to territory, the previous battle doesn't resume

Fun combo:
On your turn, play an invisible beings and set aside a watcher from your hand. for your next block, block with the egyptian rebel and band to simon the magician. when you get the chance, play revolt cbn. set aside all of opponent's evil characters that you can. On your turn, make a rescue with the face down watcher. all the set aside ecs will come back. opponent blocks. you then flip up watcher, and his ability activates. Bye Bye to all the set aside ecs!

invisible beings: Set aside a silver Hero from hand face down for one turn. On return, Hero gains the ability, "Negate Lost Souls. If Hero is blocked or the battle ends, turn Hero face up. Limit once."

Watcher: Shuffle all Evil Characters in set-aside areas and all Evil Characters that were set aside.

Egyptian rebel: May band to an evil N.T. human (except a Roman or a High Priest). Cannot be negated.

Simon the magician: Protect Lost Souls in Samaria from rescue. Evil N.T. cards cannot be negated unless Peter, John or Philip the Evangelist is in play.

Edit: i just remembered one more part that really makes this combo op. Play with the foretelling angel, because watcher is a Daniel hero :)

Protect cards in deck from discard. Reveal the top card of deck while this ability is active: While it is a Daniel card, Daniel characters cannot be negated. If it is a Daniel card, you may take it. Cannot be negated.

Fun combo:
On your turn, play an invisible beings and set aside a watcher from your hand AoCP and win the battle.  For your next block, block with the egyptian rebel and band to simon the magician. when you get the chance, play revolt cbn. set aside all of opponent's evil characters that you can Uzzah/Fire Foxes. On your turn, make a rescue with the face down watcher. all the set aside ecs will come back. opponent blocks. you then flip up watcher, and his ability activates. Bye Bye to all the set aside ecs! AoCP: This card does broken things easier than any combo you can think of, in an easier and more brokener way.  Cannot be negated.

Uzzah/Fire Foxes: Chump an opponent's rescue attempt.

Woman With Child: Search deck for a broken card.  Cannot be negated if you pick the most brokenest card there.

Don't worry, I fixed this for you
