Title: How many dominants can you have?

Just like the thread title, how many different Dominant cards are you allowed in your deck? From what I understand you cannot have more than 1. That is the way I interepret the Reg. I looked it up and the rules are kinda weird in the wording and not clear to me:
Maximum of 1 of each in a deck: • Multi-colored enhancement, Hero, or Evil Character • Dominant (lamb icon or grim reaper icon card)
Does that mean one of each dominate card out there? so if you have like 8 different Doms, you can put them all in your deck?
Also, the ruling in the special ability cards: Maximum of 1 of each per 50 cards in a deck: • Card that has a special ability (text over the picture).
Does that just mean like you can only have one of Paul's Girdle card? for every 50?

You are allowed one of each type of Dominant. However, there has been a major rules update that includes: You may not have more Dominants than Lost Souls. That is not in the REG yet.
And yes, single-color cards with special abilities can be put in at a rate of one per 50 cards in deck (in Type 1), but no more.

now what if your not playing Type I and just a normal game? I thought I saw Type I is normal play somewhere?

type 1 is the "normal" core category.

It is. The general rules are for what we call Type 1, and almost everything you see will be for that. If I say Type 1, it means "how most games are played" :)
Type 2 is a scary place from which many have never returned...beware the dark path...
