In a normal Swiss-style tournament (the format used for nearly all Redemption tournaments), in 2-player, 3 points are awarded for a standard win, 0 points for a standard loss, 2/1 points for a time-out win/loss, and 1.5 points for a tie. Lost Soul differential (tie breaker) is the cumulative difference in score. That is, if you win 5-2, win 6-4, and lose 0-5, your differential is (+3) + (+2) + (-5) = 0.
Multiplayer is slightly more complicated, but in general each table will have points equal to the number of players. If there's a standard winner, he will get 3 points, and the runners-up will get some number of remaining points, if any. Time-outs and ties make things messier. Lost Soul score (tie breaker) here is determined just as a running sum of raw scores. That is, if you redeem 3, 5, and 2 souls in your game, your Lost Soul score is 3 + 5 + 2 = 10.
The Cactus website has a download link for the Tournament Tracker, an Excel spreadsheet that takes care of most of the details for you.
