This has been probably already been addressed, but I couldn't find anything in a quick search.

With High Places I can play most "discard from deck" cards, right? They have "place" in the ability, even though they are not place abilities per se. Basically, I can play any card that says things like:

"Place Lost Souls in play instead."
"Place the rest beneath owner's deck."
"Place your hands on your head."

Yes, the interpretation is that broad.

That's actually why the stipulation about playing captures was added later, because the expansion from abilities that "place" cards (and the possible mess that would ensue from defining such) to any card that just says "place" meant addressing all the capture cards that say "place in LoB, treat as LS"

Not that it matters, creative gents have found a way to spam capture cards anyway
