If Helez has Helmet of Brass and he's banded to Heldai, can I play a red enhancement?
Helmet of Brass: HERO may play the first enhancement after blocker is presented. blah blah blah...

I believe Helmet of Brass is only referencing the Hero that's holding it, so Heldai would not be able to play an ehancement in your example.
If you want to play a red enhancement you could put the Helmet on Soldier of God. ;)

just use abimelech priest at nob to convert Helmet of Brass to the brigade you want it to be :)

I used to have a priest deck with Phineas, Ahimaaz, Abimelech, and HoB. It was kinda fun, but I think I like Z-Temple better.
