How does guardian angel work, specifically how does its healing ability work?
-
When it enters battle, it can heal a hero. So if a hero died during the battle phase you could heal him and return him to your territory.
There isn't a whole bunch of practical use for this card, except maybe banding.
-
So at any time in the battle if a hero is discarded I can heal him?
-
No. You can heal a hero when GA enters battle.
-
So at any time in the battle if a hero is discarded I can heal him?
Sorry, my answer might have been confusing. You can't use his ability any time during the battle phase. But if any hero died during the battle phase, when he enters battle he can heal that hero.
-
What if the hero I want to heal was killed in a previous battle?
-
As long as it was during the same turn, you can heal him.
-
As long as it was during the same turn, you can heal him.
To clarify, as long as the hero was discarded before Guardian Angel enters battle, you can heal that hero.
-
In the same turn yes, so if you ra with joseph and play a long day via HT you can then make a RA with Guardian angel and get him back. (At least the way I'm interpreting this.)
-
Yes, if Joseph was discarded in the first battle where The Long Day was played.
-
Joseph is protected from discard....
-
So his ability was negated, but The Long Day wasn't - like with Spirit of Doubt or Complainers.
-
Joseph is protected from discard....
I assumed that the protection was negated in the example. A better hero would be Benjamin.
