Title: Great Faith & Banded Heroes
Post by: BubbleBoy on July 23, 2009, 01:05:15 PM
So, say I RA with Claudia (http://redemptionreg.com/REG/claudia.htm) and band to Ethiopian Treasurer (http://redemptionreg.com/REG/ethiopiantreasurer.htm) to play Great Faith (http://redemptionreg.com/REG/greatfaith.htm). If I search for Abraham's Servant to Ur (http://redemptionreg.com/REG/abrahamsservanttour1.htm), can I play it immediately? I would think so, but I wasn't sure if Great Faith only allowed you to play the searched enhancement on the exact same character it was played on.

Great Faith allows you to exchange with another enhancement, so you can place Abe's Servant into battle. Nothing about it says it has to be used by the same hero.

I would say so, since you have a legal target (blue brigade hero) in battle, and Great Faith doesn't specify that you have to search for a purple brigade enhancement.

It should be noted, however, that Abraham's Servant to Ur negates all Special Abilities on characters. So if you play it to battle, then Great Faith's ability would be negated and Abraham's Servant to Ur would have to return to your draw pile.

Fresno,

Great Faith is no longer in play, so it is not a legal target for a negate, unless the negate specifies the "last enhancement" played.

Oh really? That will be good to know. I stand corrected.

And considering I was corrected by Captain Kirk, here is the obligatory Star Trek reference:

Scotty: "Aye, and if my grandmother had wheels, she'd be a wagon."
