Title: Gifts of the Magi and Golden Cherubim questions.
Post by: redemption collector 777 on December 07, 2014, 04:25:58 PM
Gifts of the Magi SA: Each time an opponent draws a card because of a special ability on a character enhancement , holder may draw a card.

Golden Cherubim: If an opponent draws because of a special ability he controls , you may search your deck for a card. CBN

1. If Player A had Gifts of the Magi active and Player B's Matthew draws 3 cards , Can player A draw up to 3 cards?

2. If Player A had Golden Cherubim active and Player B's Matthew draws 3 cards Can player A only search for 1 card in their deck , because it is only per draw ability used by an opponent?

"Each time an opponent draws a card" refers to each card drawn.

"If an opponent draws" refers to using a draw ability.

1. Up to 3 cards (once for each drawn).

2. 1 card (only one draw ability).

Fun thought:  If in this case Player A uses Matthew, Player B uses Gifts, and Player A has Golden Cherubim, then Player A gets to search for each card Player B draws, since it is separate activations for all three.

or to make it even more interesting how about Player A uses Hur , Player B has Golden Cherubim and Player A has gifts. That is alot of cards that could be drawn and searched for. :o

I think this works. If Player A draws 7, then Player B can search for 7 cards in their deck?

I wonder why more people don't use Golden Cherubim?
