In type 2 can I have 2 of the same generic characters in play at once? (ex. Can I have 2 egyptian archers in play at once?)

Thanks! Also, can I have 2 Egyptian Archers in battle at the same time? (Banded to each other)

I thought so. I'm just new to type 2 and wanted to make sure.
