Title: Gates of Jerusalem/TGT
Post by: Master Q on July 14, 2010, 02:16:26 AM
Just want a confirmation on my thoughts. Say I have Gates of Jerusalem in my territory, and the only evil character I have is King Rehoboam, (Judean King). I have a redeemed soul, my opponent has the Garden Tomb and attacks with John. My question is: If King Rehoboam is the only crimson character in play, can he be protected from the ignore ability on the Garden Tomb, and therefore, block John? My guess is if he is protected from all of opponents' cards while in territory, the special ability on TGT would not apply to him and he would be able to block; however, upon blocking, he would instantly be ignored again, but I could then play enhancements. I'm not sure because I have never run into this situation before.

Gates of Jerusalem- Protect evil Kings and Queens of Judah in territory from opponents' cards. If one blocks, its special ability CBN and you may draw one.

He is protected but he's also still ignored.  The rules say an ignored character cannot enter battle so King Rehoboam can't block.
