Funky question with the card trust

Trust : hero may withdraw from battle unharmed. All good enhancements played this battle may return to owners hand except this one.

What if I use great faith and searched for and use trust? Great faith would go back to my draw pile but would I still be able to return it to my hand with trust?

Is that an errata for this card? Great faith was played this battle...

Yes it was. If I had a card that said 'capture a character played in this battle' and I shuffled it into my deck with say plauge of frogs it would be out of play and not a valid target.

Good question, but they are correct.  Only the cards in play can be targeted.

Is that an errata for this card? Great faith was played this battle...

The card doesn't need an errata because it is already a game rule.

What if I played Covenant of Noah during the same battle, (which discards itself after use), would that return it to hand since it was played that battle?

Cov of Noah doesn't discard itself if it's played as an enhancement.  That portion is just reminder text for when it's used as an Artifact.  Kind of like the part that says "Use as an enhancement or an Artifact."

As a quick sort of related question, is Covenant with Noah discarded after being used as a enhancement?

yes, but after the battle, just as enhancements are always discarded after being used.

Oh alright, I don't think I ever remember seeing/hearing that.  But 9 times out of 10, I see Cov of Noah used as an artifact anyways, so it usually doesn't matter.

What if I played Weapon of the Holy during battle, which discards itself, and played Trust at the end of battle?

Weapon of the Holy - "Holder may discard this card to decrease a demon’s abilities by 5/5 until end of turn."

I don't think that it only targets cards in play.  I know that is the default rule but Trust specifically says "played this battle" which is a different target then in play.  I think this is similar to how the enhancements that "discard the last good/evil enhancement played" work; they can target an enhancement in the discard pile if it meets the condition.  So Trust should get back cards like Weapon of the Holy, however...

I'm not sure that Great Faith would be retrieved; I think it could be an exception because of the exchange ability.  Basically, to what extent are exchanged cards considered to have taken the place of the other card?  What about when Seven Wicked Spirits is exchanged with an evil character that has been set-aside for 5 turns with Covenant with Death?  Does 7WS stay set-aside and start gaining numbers?  Does it get the counters that have already accumilated or do those counters stay with the previously set-aside character?
