Title: Flight of Spies?
Post by: Mageduckey on May 24, 2009, 09:57:04 PM
Since FoS doesn't specifically state that it can't return itself, can it?

Flight of Spies - "Up to two heroes may retreat from battle unharmed.  One good enhancement may be returned to holder's hand."

That is correct, it can return itself.

Sweet - Amasai (or something that can do "damage") and then just play FoS.

Now, are there any cards that allow Amasai or someone like him to play the first enh. repeatedly?

Helez (http://www.redemptionreg.com/REG/helez.htm) can band to Amasai, the Raider. (http://www.redemptionreg.com/REG/amasaitheraider.htm)

He can also wear Helmet of Brass (http://www.redemptionreg.com/REG/helmetofbrasskings.htm) which will let you play the first enhancement after you're blocked.

Helez w/ HoB + Amasai w/ Warrior's Spear + FoS...Hmmm...Eh, not worth the failed RA in my opinion.

Well, FoS only allows you to pull back one enh., so you'd lose HoB if you had it on Helez to play this combo.  Is there a way to make it so that it can be repeated w/o losing cards (like HoB)?

When Helez withdraws, HoB goes with him, since it's kind of attached.

Oh....  :P

My bad.

Why don't you think it's worth the "failed RA" to d/c 2 cards from opponent's deck for free (w/o risking being blocked and killed)?

Well think about the game as a whole; you probably aren't going to be able to do that move too many times before your defense starts running out of juice. Just three successful RA's and then SoG and NJ, and although you might have had the most fun, your opponent will have won the game.

This thread has given me an idea for a herolite.
