Kingdoms of this World:
Evil Characters here are protected from effect, and may be removed during holder’s preparation phase only. While an Evil Character is here, protect holder from being forced to block with another player’s character. • Play As: Protect contents from harm or effect. Place or return Evil Characters during your Preparation Phase. While an Evil Character is here, restrict opponents from using choose the blocker abilities. Kingdoms of the World may hold up to 3 of your Evil Characters.
First off, Play As is an errata, so disregard.
1b. Secondly, what is "another player's character." If I give them Seven Wicked Spirits, can I CTB SWS if they have a guy in Kingdoms?
This next one is easy sauce, but I just want to confirm.
2. I rescue with Ishmaiah. They block with King Shallum. Afraid of Bravery of David, they foolishly Christian Martyr David. Can I heal David now, or do I need inish? Special abilities unimportant.
3. Do all abilities have to resolve before battle resolution?
-
Is the play as on kotw worded that way on purpose?
-
1. I would guess one they control, but I'm not positive.
2. Enhancements played during battle always have to follow initiative.
3. No. Common example is using an interrupt/play next to play a CBN end the battle card. The battle can end while abilities are interrupted, and in that case they just fizzle.
-
2. Enhancements played during battle always have to follow initiative.
Heal enhancements are different if they are played to stop discard and do not follow normal inish. rules. But David would go back to territory and cant go back in battle. Or at least this is how I always understood healing to work.

This was my understanding as well.

Whoops. Besides End the Battle. Say I used Battle Cry to band to Ahimilek and Ishmaiah. I return them to hand. No evil characters are in battle. Do I still get to draw?
-
Healing enhancements played during battle must follow the rules of initiative.

Yes. But just band in Ishmaiah first. ;D

Healing enhancements played during battle must follow the rules of initiative.
What? I have never seen it played like this previously I would like to get another Elders opinion on this. And if this is indeed the case now when was this changed from how it used to be played or am I just crazy?
Also is there still post battle healing then? Similar to using Brass Serpent at the end of a battle to heal every one or is this gone now?
-
Firstly, there is nothing wrong with the Play As of KotW. Protect doesn't target players, so it is a restrict ability.
1. Another players character is a character owned and controlled by another player. So they could choose an SWS in your territory owned by them.
2. What Gabe said.
3. Battles can only resolve two ways: via an end the battle ability, or when both players involved decide to resolve it. Players cannot decide to resoolve a battle until all pending abilities are complete. In your example, Ishamaih could draw regardless of when Ahimelek joined.
-
But difference is in the ability, YOU can't be forced to block, while in the play-as, no opponent can even use a ctb ability period. This seems very different.

That's the way healing has worked since before I started playing the game. I imagine it's always been that way. If this doesn't prove your craziness then I'm sure some of the decks you play will. :)
Yes, you can heal during the discard and prep phases without the need for initiative.

What LN said. I wasn't worried about the protect/restrict part.
-
The play-as is indeed errata and must be disregarded because in Multi KotW would stop all opponents from using CTB, rather than on the original SA which just stops them from using CTB on you.
-
The play as is just missing "against holder" at the end of the restrict clause.
-
In addition the original card allows one to ctb your opponent's character, the play as says you cannot.
