I'm 99% sure this works but the last thing I want to do is be wrong as I'm preparing to host regionals and go to Nats.
I play Feast of Trumpets (set aside all of your human heroes for one turn. On return choose a number 1 to 4. All players must place that number of cards from hand beneath own draw pile and draw an equal number of cards). I chose the number 4 on the return and I have gifts of the magi out. (Each time opponent draws a card because of a special ability on a character or enhacement holder may draw a card) I know that my opponent and I both draw 4 but do I get to draw an additional 4 thanks to gifts? Also in multi player do I draw 4 for each player who draws 4? Thanks for the answers.

it works very much so!!!
Here is a fun twist too that Gabe taught me. You don't have Gifts activated on the turn they are set aside either. You can use a different artifact that turn. On your next turn (when they come back) the phases are: draw, upkeep (add the 1 counter), preparation which can be done in ANY order...so during the prep phase you activate your artifacts first (read Gifts of the Magi here) and then bring guys from your set aside back (read using Feast of Trumpets here). It is an awesome combo that can't be stopped if you have the Lampstand backing it up!
Just a little tip for ya! ;)

LOL - in multi, then you could draw up to 16-20 cards in that one play, depending on how many people are playing. :P
