Title: Even more Taunt!
Post by: SomeKittens on June 22, 2011, 09:24:08 PM
If I taunt, then play WoS, does the hero go beneath deck?

From my understanding of taunt, Goliath goes into battle and if he wins (or the taunt is not accepted) you activate the taunt ability in parentheses.  Since there would be no heroes to place beneath deck, my assumption would be you would not place any.

Correct.

Thanks!  So the hero only goes beneath deck if he loses by the numbers/doesn't accept?

Actually, Goliath's Taunt ability is better than that. The Taunt ability is kind of like rescuing a redeemed soul, it happens after everything else from the battle has taken place. So, say I taunt with Goliath, you accept with Phillip and Bart, and I play Overwhelmed by Philistines. Not only do Phil and Bart get discarded, but I can put your Thaddeus beneath deck from your territory.

Let me know if you actually find a time to taunt.

The only time I can feasibly see it happening is first round or after the shuffler's gone off.
