Here's another tricky question!
Question #1
Can you add a site to the battle at any time? I believe the answer is yes.
Question #2
If my opponent plays death of unrighteous in battle
"shuffle all lost souls and sites in holders land of bondage into owners draw pile. Discard all evil characters in battle."
If I have a missionary in battle when he plays death of unrighteous can I add the ends of the Earth to the battle to reveal the top seven cards of a deck and put a lost soul in play? and/or negate death of unrighteous?
The ends of the Earth "reveal the top 7 cards of a deck: put a lost soul in play and add a revealed Bible icon to its owner's hand. If a missionary is in battle, negate an evil or neutral card not in battle. Cannot be interrupted.

You would not be able to negate it, because it it no longer in play, but I believe you could get another soul out.
-
But ends of the Earth says negate a card not in battle so why wouldn't it work?
-
Because DoU is discarded you would have to negate the last card played because it is not longer in play and you do not get si.
-
If the ends of the Earth can negate Gates of Hell that is out of play then I would think it should still be able to negate a card not in play aka the last card played that is not in battle! Here is the thread where they were discussing negating the gates of hell with the ends of the Earth.
-
You can't negate DoU but you can add Ends to battle after DoU shuffles the souls to try and pull a soul out to rescue. DoU is in discard pile, you can't search discard pile with Ends to find it and target it with a negate.

Not in Battle
Several Redemption® cards contain special abilities that refer to cards that are “not in battle”. Cards "not in battle" are cards found in (1) territories, (2) set aside areas, and (3) Lands of Redemption.

Huh, I thought Lampstand can protect from Mayhem. Guess not.

I believe that was the scenario/discussion that led to us creating the definition for "not in battle."
