Elders of the City - Purple Hero - 6/4 - After a successful rescue attempt, place one Evil Character just defeated into your opponent's Land of Bondage.

I know this is prolly in the REG somewhere, just to tired to go look it up. If I play Son of God (and/or New Jerusalem) on a lost soul(s), does that count as a successful rescue attempt even if I am losing the battle?

No, you have to win a battle with a hero and be handed a lost soul for a successful rescue.

Thats what I thought, wanted to make sure though
