Title: Dominants in Reserve
Post by: soul seeker on June 23, 2017, 10:57:12 PM
I've seen several cards that grammatically sound like that they can get dominants from Reserve.
Yet, the Reserve can not have dominants in it.  Will future doms be allowed in the reserve or cards allowed to put doms there to "hide" them?

The Reserve cannot start with dominants inside but it can hold them if they are put there during the game. For example, Angel from the Altar can swap a good card in hand with a good card in reserve. You could swap for example a New Jerusalem into reserve to hold it there while you wait to draw SoG then pull it back out when One of Seven or the NJ rainbow site when you are ready to use it.

New Question:  why put doms in the reserve...what is the strategic advantage to that?

The only thing I can think of is that since nothing can currently discard cards out of your reserve, any dom in there will be safe.

NJ is useless in my hand until I play it with SoG. Angel from the Altar can swap it for an actually useful card while I wait for SoG. Because of cards like One of Seven and the NJ rainbow site, I can then get NJ back out when I actually want it. The advantage isn't really that you put a dominant in your reserve its that you can use it for effects like Angel from the Altar.
