Title: does thaddeus stop ignore
Post by: sepjazzwarrior on June 14, 2011, 03:10:54 AM
if thaddeus stops evil characters from targeting cards in play (meaning targeting themselves as well) does this mean they can't target themselves to make themselves immune to a character?

Thaddeus (Di)
Type: Hero Char. • Brigade: Purple • Ability: 8 / 8 • Class: None • Special Ability: Protect all cards in play, set-aside area, Artifact piles, hands, and decks from Evil Characters with toughness X or less. Cannot be interrupted.

No, characters cannot be immune to themselves or protected from themselves.

why not? i thought the reason you couldn't play deat of unrightious against thaddeus was because thaddeus protected the evil character from killing himself.  is this a game rule written down somewhere cause ive never heard it before

You can play DoU against Thad but you probably wouldn't want to. Thad protects the Lost Souls from the Evil Character so they won't be shuffled.

You can find the announcement of this rule in the 4th post from the top here (http://www.cactusgamedesign.com/message_boards/redemption-official-rules/official-new-rulings-announcement-thread/).
