Only if GiC is being played as an enhancement. If it's being played as an artifact, it's not in the battle, and as such, cannot be interrupted.

By an ITB.  I've heard it ruled that something like Foreign Sword will be able to target the artifact.

That's currently under debate.

Is there an older ruling for now?

As of right now, the only thing that can target an enhancement that is both removing a character from the battle, and removing itself from play, is an "Interrupt the Battle" card. Anything that seeks to target a specific enhancement (even "last enhancement played") cannot interrupt an enhancement removing itself from play. However, I'm not sure that that extends to artifacts. Based on the ruling for Magic Charms, I don't believe any card outside of battle that removes itself from play can be interrupted.

Wahhh? How is counsel of Abigail a spiritual gift?

Wahhh? How is counsel of Abigail a spiritual gift?

A lot of the older cards are considered spiritual gifts:
An enhancement is considered a spiritual gift if it represents one of the gifts of the Spirit listed in the Bible.  Spiritual gifts can be found in Romans 12.  The following are recorded: prophesying (v. 6), serving (v. 7), teaching (v. 7), encouraging (v. 8), giving (v. 8), leadership (v. 8), and mercy (v. 8).  I Corinthians 12 specifies the following as spiritual gifts: message of wisdom (v. 8), message of knowledge (v. 8), special faith (v. 9), power to heal the sick (v. 9), ability to perform miracles (v. 10), prophecy (v. 10), discernment (v. 10), and foreign tongues (v. 10).  The Redemption® card Spiritual Gifts (Ap) uses the verse Galatians 5:22-23 which would make the following spiritual gifts as well: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control, long-suffering, meekness, and temperance.  1 Corinthians 12:8 lists wisdom.  Finally, Ephesians 4:7-16 lists the following gifts: apostle (v. 11), prophecy (v. 11), evangelism (v. 11), and pastoral and teaching (v. 11).

Answer to Prayer (FF), Clemency of David (AL), Clemency of David (AU), Clemency of David (L), Clemency of David (UL), Counsel of Abigail (RA2), Counsel of Abigail (Wo), Endurance (L), Endurance (UL), Faith (BL), Faith (BU), Faith (DL), Faith (DU), Faith (L), Faith (UL), Faith as a Mustard Seed (Di), Faith as Children (Pi), Faith as Children (Wa), Faith in Our High Priest (Pi), Faith of Abraham (L), Faith of Abraham (UL), Faith of Bartimaeus (Ap), Faith of David (Ki), Faithfulness of Ananias (Ap), Faithfulness of Luke (L), Faithfulness of Luke (UL), Generous Giving (Ap), Gentleness (L), Gentleness (UL), Goodness (L), Goodness (UL), Great Faith (H), Great Faith (Wo), Healing (L), Healing (UL), Heavenly Trance (Ap), Hospitality of Martha (Wo), Jethro's Wisdom (Pa), Job's Faith (Di), Joy (L), Joy (UL), Kindness (Di), Kindness (L), Kindness (UL), Long-Suffering of John (L), Long-Suffering of John (UL), Love (L), Love (P), Love (UL), Meekness of Isaac (L), Meekness of Isaac (UL), Mercy of James (BL), Mercy of James (BU), Mercy of James (L), Mercy of James (UL), Miracle of Healing (Ap), New Tongues (Ap), Patience (CL), Patience (CU), Patience (L), Patience (UL), Patience of Job (L), Patience of Job (UL), Peace (AL), Peace (AU), Peace (L), Peace (UL), Prayer of Faith (Pi), Preaching God's Word (Ap), Prophecy of Eldad & Medad (Pa), Sanctifying Faith (Ap), Temperance (L), Temperance (UL), Testing Solomon's Wisdom (RA), The Might of Faith (Pi), Truthfulness of Nathan (L), Truthfulness of Nathan (UL), Visions of Iddo the Seer (Ki), Wisdom (AL), Wisdom (AU), Wisdom (L), Wisdom (UL), and Wisdom of Solomon (Ki)

The Spirit was around in the OT, so any cards that relate to the gifts mentioned in the NT (counsel is like pastoring/teaching) are considered spiritual gifts.

According to an older version of the REG, a card that removes itself from battle can still be targeted as the last enhancement played.  I'd think that's still the case, but I don't know for sure.
