Title: Divination
Post by: CountFount on February 08, 2010, 12:47:58 PM
Divination
Type: Evil Enh. • Brigade: Pale Green • Ability: 6 / 0 • Class: Territory • Special Ability: If used by a Magician, look at the top six cards of deck. Select one evil card and add it to hand or battle. Return the rest to the top and/or bottom of deck in any order. Cannot be interrupted. • Attributes: Connected with Demons, False Religious Practice • Identifiers: NT, Connected with Demons, False Religious Practice • Verse: Galatians 5:20-21 • Availability: Thesaurus ex Preteritus booster packs ()

Whose deck can it be used on? Is it implied that it is owner's deck.

"Deck," by default, refers to the deck of the player that used the card.

Yes. When a card refers to "deck" with no qualifier it means "your deck". Otherwise, The Gates of Hell would need some pretty serious errata:

The Gates of Hell
Type: Fortress • Brigade: None • Ability: None • Class: None • Special Ability: At any time, you may discard the bottom card of deck. If it is an orange demon or a Lost Soul, place it in your territory instead. You may discard this card to add your demon to the battle. • Attributes: Plays to set-aside area • Identifiers: None • Verse: Matthew 16:18 • Availability: Thesaurus ex Preteritus booster packs ()

I agree with every post prior as to the ruling.

Yes. When a card refers to "deck" with no qualifier it means "your deck". Otherwise, The Gates of Hell would need some pretty serious errata: be pretty flippin' amazing.

Fixed it for ya' Prof.  ;)

Count, are you planning on bringing the crew up for the MN Type 2 Blowout? Teaming up with you in T2-multi to beat back all those young whippersnappers is a highlight of my year.

I am trying to figure out a way. Right now it is looking bad. The young whippersnappers in my group are willing but my wallet is under her 'highness the tyranical ruler's' care. She is playing a 'cannot be negated' on my attempts so far. I just found out my protect s/a had been interrupted on my wallet. Need Dominant badly.

If you want you can send me a PM with the type of Dominant you are looking for.

It may be like playing Falling away where Guardian has already been played. I may need you guys to promise that I will not return alive so that she can collect on the life insurance money. Is there a dominant that does that?

So you are saying Mayhem might ensure?  OK, how about Grapes?

No, forget that. Grapes only gets rid of evil cards. You would need to switch alignment.

No, forget that also. I just remembered that Big Galoots are protected from Grapes, and you partake of the Platonic ideal of Galoot-ness.  ;)

I think I need to make Feb 14 special. Do you know of a drug that will make me attractive to her? She now has five kids by me that reminder her daily about the 'till death do us part' clause.  ;D I am victim, Promise.

No. Unless it was called "Damsel's Divination" or something like that.

reminder her daily about the 'till death do us part' clause.  ;D

But what you are really saying is "I love my wife and would gladly give everything up for her including, but not limited to, Redmeption"......('till death due us part) right? knudge, knudge,  ;) ;)

I would modify this.....but then I would miss the humor! ;D :D

Hey,

is divination a name-on-name bonus with damsel with a spirit of divination?

Check out the verses on the two cards.
