Title: Discard your own cards!
Post by: Crashfach2002 on January 22, 2011, 05:50:16 PM
I was wondering if this worked.  I activate Rain Becomes Dust (http://www.redemptionreg.com/REG/rainbecomesdustpi.htm) and then make a rescue attempt with Jacob (http://www.redemptionreg.com/REG/jacobff.htm), and play Obedience of Noah (http://www.redemptionreg.com/REG/obedienceofnoahbu.htm).  I then choose my own Sabbath Breaker (http://www.redemptionreg.com/REG/sabbathbreakerpi.htm) to block me.

Since Sabbath's Breaker doesn't have the word may in his ability, would that cause my opponent to have to draw the cards in turn making him discard them?

Yep, this has been done many times. Another popular one is to choose Damsel with Spirit of Divination to block you while holding a rainbow good enhancement in hand.

That is correct. Your opponent will have to Discard the top 3 cards of his deck. There's a better character to use than Sabbath Breaker, though.

IMO, one of the easiest and potentially devastating characters to combo with RBD is actually a Hero. Damsel is a bit more difficult (though more high reward admittedly) just because she says "if blocking..."

Yes, the decks that won teams at Nationals last summer use the combo with Damsel and a multi-color good enhancement.  One poor opponent got hit two turns in a row and lost 16 cards off the top of his deck!

so side battle and make opponent rescue with The Generous Widow?

I'd much rather make them use Hur when I have Nazareth.
