1)
When you lay Death of First Born, do all of the evil characters leave battle, or one?
2) When you "Present a new blocker", can you put out a character that didn't leave battle and then band to some one that did?
3) If the person your using Death of First Born against has wall of protection, can he "Present a new blocker"?
4) If there are multiple evil characters in battle when Death of First Born is played, and he doesn't "Present a new blocker", even though a evil character is still in battle, will the "rescue attempt be successful"?

Wow - I didn't realize the 'play as' said "Return one", so I ruled this one wrong Saturday. Based on the play as, I would say:
1) Only one.
2) My understanding is that once a character is kicked out of battle, he cannot re-enter battle that turn, even in a side-battle.
-
Just one. It says Evil Charater, not Evil Characters.
He can't re enter if he's unique. He can re enter if he's generic and was shuffled (potentially other ways, but I don't remember very well).

3. No.
4. While the play as is errata, it may fall under the heading of clarifying text. However, the very premise of "clarifying text" is being challenged right now. However however, if it's not clarifying text, it begs the question of what mechanism is being used to get to a "successful rescue" when EC's are still in battle and not being ignored.
