Title: Deafening Spirit
Post by: SignoftheStar on October 21, 2014, 10:10:38 PM
Deafening Spirit- 1/4 Orange Enhancement: Negate and discard the last Good Enhancement played in battle. You may treat this card as an Evil Character until the end of this battle.

Deafening Spirit is an Enhancement, but it treats itself as an Evil Character the moment it is played. Once it is played, can it be interrupted or negated by a card that interrupts/negates Enhancements, a card that interrupts/negates Characters, or both? Would a "Negate Characters." ability already in play not apply to it because it entered play as an Enhancement and only became a Character afterwards?

I believe that it would just be that it can be targeted as a character.

I wonder what would happen if there was a card that said negate and discard an evil character, what that would do.

I am almost 100% sure it cannot be targeted as an enhancement though.

DS can only be negated be a "Negate the last (evil) enhancement" card.

There was a 4 page thread a few years ago that discussed this. The final word came from the two Professors:

Hmmm... that's a shame.
