Title: dabbling with Herods....
Post by: 777Godspeed on May 27, 2019, 10:37:18 AM
I have Herod's Praetorium in territory...(SA - While you control a Herod, negate ignore abilities. Protect you Herods from opponents' band abilities. If a N.T. hero is in battle, withdraw abilities used by your Herod cannot be negated.)

Opponent is RAing with say Samuel to Saul to Dave, the Shepherd.
I block with say Herod Philip II (SA - If another Herod is in play, return a Hero with strength greater than X to territory. You may place this card beneath deck to add a Herod to battle. X=# of cards in opponent's deck.) I don't use the SA.
What is Herod Philip II exactly being protected from by Herod's Praetorium?
 - Numbers of the band?
 - Is he more like ignoring the band?
 - Does he lose inish after being placed into battle because he is protected from the band?

Godspeed,
Mike

Herods are protected from being targeted by your opponents band abilities, so you opponent can't band to your Herods.

so it would be read from a defensive protect point of view (opponent can't band my Herods into battle) NOT a protect from opponent offensive bands.... gotcha   although that would be a pretty sweet protect...

Godspeed,
Mike
