Does Ashpenaz' SA work when he is converted, since "captured heroes" are not "heroes," thus this would not "harm a hero?"
Ashpenaz
Type: Evil Char. • Brigade: Crimson • Ability: 2 / 2 • Class: None • Special Ability: Convert a captured human Hero in your territory to a crimson Evil Character. You control the character. • Identifiers: OT Male Human, Babylonia • Verse: Daniel 1:3 • Availability: Faith of Fathers (Set 3)

I would say yes. There is precedent for Converted EC's as Heroes "producing" other EC's (High Priest Caiaphas for one) so I think this might work.

i suppose I agree with him but doesn't it still says heroes on the real evil charatorit wouldn't be able to target heroes in the first place, right?

"Captured heroes" are not "heroes" for game play purposes. I mentioned this in the original post.

I would say no because heroes do not create evil characters

As I said in my first post, Caiaphas can search for evil Saddcees. It's not really "creating" Evil Characters maybe, but it's having kind of the same effect. Also, captured Heroes are not Heroes (as has been pointed out) so they should be able to be targeted by Heroes in any way possible.

That would have been a good point a couple years ago, when that was the criteria for determining if an ECs SA converted. The current criteria, however, is whether or not the converted SA would do bad things to other heroes--and Ashpenaz's SA does not even target heroes.
