Title: Concerning Texp Enhancements (i think there called territory cards)...
Post by: Wings of Music on March 15, 2010, 06:21:57 PM

Hello Everyone!
I just got some cool TexP enhancments, and obviously I recognized they are a new card type. The little brief explanation on the packet of how they work does not really help.
For example, I just got Herod's Treachery, does it stay on him until he is discarded or does it last only one battle and then is discarded?
When am I allowed to play a territory card, during a battle only, or can I play it during preparation phase?
I just kind of need some extra explanation.  :)

If anyone can help, reply to this post!

Thank you!

You can play them during your preperation and discard phase outside of battle. You can also play them in battle. The ability on the card takes effect and is then discarded when used outside of battle, unless it says to do otherwise which Herod's Treachery does. HT stays on the EC you choose to place it on.

Herod’s Treachery
Type: Evil Enh. • Brigade: Multicolor • Ability: None • Class: Territory • Special Ability: Place on a Herod. That Herod may use evil Enhancements regardless of brigade. You may discard this card to force X Heroes to withdraw from battle. • Attributes: X = number of good brigades opponent has in play • Identifiers: None • Verse: Matthew 2:8 • Availability: Thesaurus ex Preteritus booster packs ()

You can play TC Enhs. during prep. or d/c phases at any time.
TC Enhs. can be played in battle also, but must follow rules of initiative.
Like any other Enh., a TC Enh. must always be played on a character who fits brigade requirements (even outside of battle).
TC Enhs. are d/c'ed after the phase they are played in unless they are placed somewhere, in which case they stay there indefinitely or as long as is stated on the card.

I'm pretty sure that's all you need to know.

on a side note, that card has to be played on a Herod to use the second effect on the card.

Thank you all so much!  :D
So concerning the discarding, it pretty much stays there until appropriate discard time unless otherwise said?

Most territory class enhancements activate as soon as they are played, and then are immediately discarded. Ones that say "place", like Herod's Treachery, remain where they are placed until a special ability (its own or another one) removes it.
