Can coat of many colors work with set aside enhancements?

Unless an ability says something to the effect of "Set character aside" or "Set-aside" the it is not counted as a set-aside card/enh.

I mean can I use the coat of many colors on a character in order to use a set aside card from another brigade outside of combat?

I know I can use the set aside out side of combat... but can I use the coat outside of combat?.... or can I use the coat in combat and set aside during the combat?

No, Coat of Many Colors cannot be used outside of battle.

Yes, set aside enhancements can be played in battle.

If you choose to set aside the Hero who is in battle yes. However, you can also play set asides on one Hero and direct the effect to a different Hero.
