Just want to make sure I understand this ability:
*Fortress* - While occupied, protect opponent's Heroes from other Heroes.
Does this mean that my opponent cannot band to one or more of my heroes or his own heroes?
-
Yep.
-
Other than banding, is there anything else this ability would work with? Exchanges, perhaps (ie AUTO and Gideon)?
-
Im guessing it also stops healing, placing enhancements, increasing other heroes numbers. Would it stop heroes from making other heroes or their enhancements cbn?
-
Could also stop abilities like The Guiding angel from ROJ I am assuming.

Not quite. It means that no one can band to (or otherwise target via a Hero's ability) opponent's heroes. Your opponent can still band to your heroes.

Are you sure about that? Why would I want to use that ability then if it meant my heroes could be banded by my opponent, or the other aforementioned abilities that’ve been mentioned?

Because it shuts down the opponents banding between their own Heroes, exchanging to territory (King Jehu, AUTO, Angel from the Sun, etc.), placing Enhancements on characters (CoL), good healing (Peter), etc.
I think it's worded this way so it doesn't protect a character from itself, just other Heroes.

Um, would it be able to protect from placing an Enhancement if the Hero its being placed on played the Enhancement?

No. Placing was probably a bad example, since they're often placed on the character using them.

I thought that the clause in the REG that made it so that characters couldn't be protected from themselves was removed with the last REG update. I'm looking at the entry for Protect/Immune in the REG version 5.0.0 and I cannot find the clause that says you can't be protected from yourself. Am I missing something?
-
You can be protected from yourself.
City of Enoch says "protect opponent's Heroes from other Heroes", which I interpret as individually protecting each of the opponent's Heroes from other Heroes, so the ability excludes protecting a Hero from itself, not a game rule.

Okay, I wasn’t sure. But like I can’t use Wheel to Search an OT Angel and put it on that Angel that was searched.

That is my understanding.
