Hi there,
question is the following:
Rescue attempt starts with Angelic Warrior and blocker is chosen as Spirit of fear.
Can rescuing player choose not to withdraw and let opponent dc a random card from rescuing players hand instead while Warrior is protecting that hand so nothing would happen? (Question is the same for comparable constellations.)
I would expect exactly this: Rescuing player can choose hand discard while that hand is protected and nothing would happen then.

Listing abilities would be very helpful!
Angelic Warrior: First Strike. Protect your hand, deck and human Heroes from opponent’s evil cards. If blocked by a non-human, Hero may band to a Revelation angel.
Spirit of Fear: Withdraw all Heroes. Rescuing player may allow you to discard a random card from his hand instead.
Angelic Warrior is in battle first, therefore it protects your hand. You are withdrawn from battle due to Spirit of Fear, and your hand is protected so you can't discard a card. This does give you special initiative so you can play an "interrupt the battle" or "negate evil card" card
