Title: Captured characters as lost souls being shuffled?

When cards like "Shuffler Lost Soul" send all lost souls, including captured characters, back into decks, the captured characters go back into their owners' decks, correct?  Once they are drawn again they will be characters again, correct?

Cards completely reset once in deck, hand, or discard pile.  Everything that happened to that guy while he was out is gone once he goes back into one of those.

Almost everything. :)  This excludes once per game abilities; they do not reset. :)
