What identifiers do captured characters keep and do they still retain their identity, as in does a captured Isaiah still count as Isaiah being in play?
-
I believe the only identifier characters lose when they are captured is the "unique" identifier.
-
Captured Characters keep their name.
-
So if King Saul is captured does doeg still get to discard someone sinceā King saul is still in play just captured?
-
I don't think so. Doeg says Evil King Saul, and I am fairly certain that a captured one is considered neutral.
-
Yes but what if he was captured when he was evil isn't he captured evil character? Or does he reset and become a neutral card again?
-
The only time a card is reset is when it's in your hand, deck, or discard pile. The LoB is still in play, and if he was captured as a hero then he's still a hero for purposes of cards like Faith of Joseph. Likewise if he was an evil character when captured.

So would a captured David still be considered in play for cards that work if he is in play?

Yes.
