So, I block a RA with a generic Sadducees (http://redemptionreg.com/REG/sadducees4variants.htm) card and bring the High Priests into battle. My Sadducees card is AotL'd. My opponent has initiative and plays a battle-winner, and I then play Foolish Advice (http://redemptionreg.com/REG/foolishadvice.htm). Am I dead? I presume so, since the banding was negated, but I just want to be sure that there is absolutely no hope.

Depends on the numbers...
;)

if they are a 1/1 hero and play a no number battle winner, you are safe. :P

Oops, I forgot to put a very important part in there. About to be edited. :P

I believe that Foolish Advice doesn't negate abilities of cards that aren't in play, so I would say that since the banding card is in the discard pile, all your high priests stay. Just a quirky little situation that works out in your favor.

Oohoo, I like that! This may actually make playing AotL on yourself practical. ;D

If its being played due to initative caused by the battle winner, wouldn't it interrupt said battle winner, therefore bringing the banding characters back?

The only banding character was the 1/3 Sadducee, who was discarded by AotL, and is now in the discard pile. So if they then try to use, say, Trumpet Blast on the High Priests who were all banded in by the 1/3 guy, then you can play Foolish Advice, and since the banding ability is no longer in play, I'm pretty sure it cannot be negated by a "negate all abilities" card. So you're left with all the High Priests in a BTN battle, which is a good situation to be in, IMO.

Ahh, I missed the AoTL part.
