Hi again,
just wondering what happened in the following case with Babylon / The Harlot in particular and the entire setup in general:
When converting Babylon / The Harlot from site into an EC for blocking, afterwards banding her to opponent's Creeping Deceiver whom himself bands to also opponent's Sapphira - what happens to Babylon / The Harlot? Will it become a site again or goes as an EC back to territory?
I would say she goes to territory as an EC since only the banding ist negated, not the conversion.
Regarding the negate-cascade I understood Deceiver afterwards also goes back to opponent's territory (due to Sapphira's negate of the band of Babylon / The Harlot) but Sapphira stays in battle since Deceiver's ability cannot be negated by her.
Am I right here?
Creeping Deceiver: Protect up to 3 N.T. Lost Souls in Sites from rescue. May band to a heretic or N.T. female Evil Character. Cannot be negated by a character.
Sapphira: Negate all special abilities on characters and enhancements (except this ability).
Thank you and
Best Regards

Site converting to characters has been ruled to be CBI

Thanks! And what about the remaining part of the situation? Did I get it right?

First off Sapphira’s ability doesn’t target sites or neutral cards, so Babylon converting to The Harlot is irrelevant. Sapphira only negates The Harlot’s band or discard a martyr ability. By banding Sapphira into battle by Creeping Deceiver’s band ability she would kick Creeping Deceiver out of battle (since she’s negating The harlot’s band ability) but Sapphira would remain in battle since CD’s ability is CBN, so Sapphira being banded into battle by CD wouldn’t cascade negate her out of battle.

Thank you! So after all Babylon / The Harlot and Sapphira finally stay in battle?

Yes

Just would like clarification on this. Why would Babylon/The Harlot stay in the battle after Sapphira negates everything? Is it because she's a classified as a site?

The conversion is CBI, it can't be interrupted, once she's a character she stays that way till she leaves the table

For practical purposes the conversion from Site to character is CBI. I’m not aware of anything in the game that can negate it. But if you had initiative and played a card that said “negate the last site used by an opponent” I’m pretty sure that would do it. But by the time you can target for it’s a different card type with a different SA.

She's not negating everything, just characters and enhancements. And since Babylon the site was already converted to an evil character (The Harlot), Sapphira only affects The Harlot's ability (band or discard). The site's conversion to an EC has already passed, and Sapphira wouldn't be able to negate it anyways since she only targets characters and enhancements.
